Already liked everything you have ever done and will like you forever, my dear Nuns. Empowering moments happen on the daily for me seeing talented business minded friends of mine in their respective creative industries (like yourselves) banding together to make a stylish impact and generally promoting good will. I'll be taking a shirt cut like Blair's immediately please. Play on, playas.
ReplyDeleteLove how you two made the tee look completely different by how you styled it. Glad to have you also participating in this campaign!
ReplyDeleteI have been a fan of your page on Facebook for quite some time (Keonté Smith).
ReplyDeleteRecently I experienced a moment of empowerment when I decided to wear my hair natural. In my world, hair is a topic as controversial as politics. Everyone has an opinion on how it should be worn, what it should look like and what is deemed beautiful. For the last few days, I've noticed my spirit is a bit lifted. I no longer worry about the perfect do. I just roll with it. Now, I am noticing the beauty in other aspects of my being. I think being a women is one of the best gifts I have been given. I would not change a thing about it!
my most empowering moment as a female was accepting my body after having my son. i used to joke after having my daughter that i now have zebra stripes and i earned them. it wasn't until i had my son naturally that i truly felt empowered and like a "woman". now instead of zebra i say tiger stripes. and i can't look at my day to day issues the same anymore. i have an amazing wealth of perspective and i wouldn't change my body for the world: it's proof that i'm strong and capable of being selfless.
ReplyDeleteIt would have to be last year when I called off my wedding. Everyone was telling me to go through with it because I was getting older (I'm only 28) and everyone else was getting married. But instead of listening to what everyone else wanted I went against the grain and stood up for me. It was very hard and a lot of people didn't understand but now I'm happy and making my OWN future. I moved to NYC and now I'm living out my dreams.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I'm from Santa Cruz! Aptos, actually. It's great to see SC represented on here :)
