d- blair and i had quite the treat this last weekend. appreciators of all things style and fashion are somewhat easy to come by but we found one person in particular that has a passion like no other. linda plochocki is one of the great patrons of the fidm museum & galleries and invited blair and i into her lovely home to view only a snippet of her handbag, shoe, and coat collections. she greeted us with coffee (we love you!) and we quickly began opening felt drawstring bags, unveiling one glorious purse after another. linda went through and spoke about each piece, starting with the small blue patent leather handbag that started it all.
what we discovered is that linda's eye for craftsmanship has a partner in crime in her husband steve, who has a knack for brilliant color. this is what we call a match made in heaven.
we couldn't limit ourselves to one or two of these bags, so here they are in all their glory. and please don't fret, for there are shoes and coats still to come.
