d- my grandmother recently gave me a few family heirlooms. i have been patiently waiting for my great grandmother's wedding dress to be passed down. and i indeed receive the piece, but it was this fur of her's that made my heart skip a beat. i'm big on collecting and wearing objects that have a known origin, and especially when linked to my family.
the letters "mdk" are embroidered onto the silver satin lining. mildred drummond killam. a reminder of the woman, clan, and kin.
