d- my good friend recently gave me the MET's catalog from their paul poiret exhibit in 2007. paul poiret's designs created an exciting period of fashion history. i think what a great sigh of relief he must have been for the fashion conscious woman. though his textiles and craftsmanship were of the highest caliber, there was a relaxed feeling by taking ladies out of corsets and into pants. and most importantly . . . into turbans.
